Wally Wombat: Anxiety Strategies – Book Review

Share this:

Hey everyone, I’m Ayxan Solongo aka Arden Skye aka TimeFliesAway, a shapeshifter traveling through the multiverse.

In this story, I met a wombat called Wally. They were quite anxious about things, but together, we found various ways to make them less anxious.

As someone who struggles with anxiety themself, I’ve known about most of these tips for a while now, though some of the names Wally used were different (like, “three, three, three” or “cupcake breathing”). So, ended up learning something new, too!

The appearance of the world is very cute and calming, fitting the topic well.

Thank you to Sarah Hodgson for sending me a digital invitation. The story was released as a picture book on January 1st 2025 in this universe. Written by Sarah Hodgson and Emily Pomfrett, and illustrated by Kadri Kuusler.

Fits to BookGuildJanuary2026.

My only ick is that YouTube Kids was recommended, cause that app is so not for kids. I know kids these days will find their way there sooner than later anyways, but that doesn’t mean you should recommend it. A better resource should’ve been named.
