Mail Time is a cosy adventure game where you deliver mail to the inhabitants of a forest. The art style is gorgeous! The cost is justified and I really enjoyed the multi-level gameplay, especially how varied the map was at different heights. Other developers take note, this is a perfect example of how to utilise vertical space effectively.
Essentially, Mail Time is a two hour long fetch quest. It’s not a long game so it doesn’t get tedious. The characters are a diverse bunch with admittedly fairly tropey personalities. At full price, it isn’t expensive – CDKeys has it currently for £1.29 which I’d say is a bargain for this absolute gem!
My favourite parts of this game are the character creation and the ending. Without spoiling things too much, the game ends unconventionally with a life lesson for children (and a great reminder for us adults!) We don’t often see games as a provider of life wisdom but that’s what makes Mail Time a must have family game in my book.
There’s not much more to say except IT HAS MUSHROOM HATS! Just buy it, you won’t regret a thing.
