Minami Lane – Review

Share this:

Minami Lane is a cosy management sim where you build a street, make the residents happy and pet the wandering cats who walk by. As games go, it’s cheap and cheerful with a super cute art style which I love. It’s a well designed, low stress game for those nights when you don’t want to think too hard.

The art is unique and very cute. The game itself is well balanced despite the lack of content. Each building has multiple colour/style options and the customisation options for the merchandise is large enough to provide a small challenge and prevent it becoming boring. The tasks for each mission are achievable without being redundant which makes it a very well balanced game that understands its target audience.

For anyone who fancies an afternoon chilling with a simple yet entertaining management sim then I highly recommend. Unfortunately, an afternoon is about the maximum for game play as there are only five missions. You can play in sandbox mode but unless this game is exactly your thing, I suspect five missions is plenty.

I did really enjoy playing this for the afternoon. Since I got this game on sale, on top of the already cheap £3.89 on CDKeys, I am very happy with it. I just wish I could love it.
