Same as last year: Queer Pride is this month, so we’ll be doing something queer-related, but will add an additional prompt:
Theme: queer + rainbow
Read and review anything that’s a book – novels, comics, mangas, graphic novels, poem collections, scripts, short stories, zines, et cetera. (Audiobooks count too, of course!).
How to take part
- Write a review of a/multiple book/s that have either option on the cover:
- Image: all colors from the rainbow (make sure to turn your colors on or check out the cover on its official website/shop, if you’re reading on an ebook or device with a color filter)
- Font: rainbow-like letters/symbols (open for interpretation)
- Post the review here on Pending Plays. (New here? Check out this page: https://pendingplays.co.uk/register-to-review/)
- Add the tag BookGuildJune2026 to your post
Rules
- Read the book in June (it can be a volume from a series you’re currently reading, but shouldn’t be a re-read).
- The contents don’t matter – can be any genre, any theme, etc.
- Timeframe to read and review: 1st June to 5th July 2026 (deadline extended because I uploaded the info post so late)
- (If you happen to be busy, don’t worry about posting your review after the timeframe! We’re not that strict here.)
