Following on from my article on Resident Evil Code Veronica having a hidden infinite herb glitch, I thought I’d share another hidden cheat from the Resident Evil series. Did you know, that the original Resident Evil 2, has it’s own built in infinite ammo cheat? That’s right! It’s super easy to activate too when you’re in game, so let’s share that now so you can enjoy the BEST game in the series (in my opinion).
To get started, started whichever scenario you want (although canon is Claire A, Leon B, so go for that if you want to do it right according to story!). Once the intro movie has ended (and the intro movie ends differently based on the scenario you choose first! Honestly, this game was WAY ahead of its time)
As soon as we hit the gameplay and you can move around, go to your options screen! You want to make your way to the Key Config section to alter your controls.
Once you’re in here, the action is simple. Hold your R1 button, and press Square 10 times. The ‘MANUAL’ text in the middle should now be red. Now when you exit this screen, you’ll be able to shoot away to your hearts content! Head to the gun shop, and get a better gun. The rest is going to be a cake walk from here.
Honestly, when I found out about this cheat (it took me far to long from release to find this out, I’m talking like 20 years on) hence why I’ve shared this now! I hope you find it useful.
