What’s your favourite game?
I don’t have a favourite game in particular as there are so many games I absolutely adore. So I would instead go with my favourite franchise – being Tomb Raider! My favourite game in that series however would be Tomb Raider 3 as I like the variety of different places in the game and the nostalgia it brings me.
Which game do you believe shows the best of the LGBTQ+ community?
That’s a tough one but I’d go with Life is Strange. Apart from same-sex relationships shown in the game, what makes it so special is that the story (and ultimately the characters) are relatable. I feel like everyone can in some shape or form relate to the struggles and emotions shown and that is something the LGBTQ+ community stands for. Being included, being seen and being accepted. Life is Strange achieves that in a very natural way.
Which character do you identify with most?
I had to think about this one for a while but I’d choose Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man. It’s such a relatable character because without his powers he is a geek just like me and I always liked the idea that “anyone can be Spider-Man”, meaning anyone can achieve greatness! His struggles come from balancing out each part of life and being responsible enough, mostly trying to carry all of that alone on his shoulders – something I can relate to and tend to do as well. But in the end – be it alone or with people supporting – he always finds a way to push through it and come out on top!
How have you found streaming as an LGBTQ+ streamer
It’s been fun so far! Streaming gives me the opportunity to show my favourite games to an audience in a safe environment – not just for me but also for the viewers as I intend to keep my stream a safe space at all times. I would say it has also helped me be more confident with my own identity and has even led to meeting my boyfriend!
