This time, the options in the poll in our Discord server were all national celebrations, and we’ve decided that…:
Theme: Bread
Based on the national whole grains month that is in September.
Read and review anything that’s a book – novels, comics, mangas, graphic novels, poem collections, scripts, short stories, zines, etc. (Audiobooks count too, ofc!).
Bonus points if the bread is made from whole grains.
How to take part
- Write a review of a/multiple book/s with bread
- Post the review here on Pending Plays
- Add the tag BookGuildSeptember2024 to your post
Rules
- Read the book in September (it can be a volume from a series you’re currently reading, but shouldn’t be a re-read)
- The bread can be part of the theme (i.e., baking), as a character (i.e., Bernd das Brot), or just a recurring object/food. (It doesn’t have to be present all the time, but should be part of the main plots/storylines.)
- Timeframe to read and review: 1st to 30th September 2024
